Smart Little Magpie

Look. I know the light is all wrong and I am not a bird/bee/insect/critter photographer but I have long known that Australian magpies are intelligent little sods. This fella had obviously worked out that water can be obtained from this public bubbler and was going after the good stuff with a vengeance. What was more, he'd been working on the problem for some little while before I pressed the shutter. After I'd frightened him off by trying to sneak in too close I checked the spout. It wasn't leaking. The clever little rascal must have watched somebody using the device.
