Big Tiny Gets a Dance Floor
We poured a patio in front of Big Tiny - 7 1/2 yards of concrete. It was a chilly morning, but the day stayed dry and conditions were perfect for a pour for this time of year. The raised platform on the left side will hold a 10-foot salvaged section of a railing of the old Winchester Bridge that spanned the North Umpqua River north of Roseburg on historic Highway 99. After the concrete cures for a few days, we will set the railing in place. It should look pretty cool, and the patio definitely enhances our living space.
Two extra photos: The first one shows the railing, and the second shows the patio in its nearly complete state (we washed it to give it an exposed aggregate look).
