Below the snow line.
An early walk this morning started out in the wet but as we left Cottingley Woods to cross Beckfoot golf course it was dry though still very wet underfoot. We knew there had been snow as we had seen a few cars with snow on them. As we crossed into Low Park to walk back to the village we could see the whiteness on the surrounding villages and hamlets up the valley. (You can just see it between the trees)
Later Chris and I went shopping to Owlcoats and returned in a virtual blizzard. Still thing settled here so for once we seem to have remained below the snow line. I hope it stays that way as I am out tonight to see Mary Poppins at the Alhambra theatre in Bradford.
I know you have seen lots of autumn colour but the sight here as we crossed the road through St Ives into Low Park was literally arresting.
On another note the peacock was sheltering on our porch as we went out at 10.00 am and was still there when we returned at 12.00. Just had a look 3.00 pm and he's still there. Don't think he likes the weather either!
