Finally a Crossbill

We first started going to Big Saltoun Wood years ago after I'd read about some Crossbills being sighted there. It's taken till now to see one there (and a first in the UK). Miles high, atop a pine, and that's a big crop, but great to get.

Nice way to spend a day off really, and going to be rounded off nicely meeting Gillian and Jason for dinner....
