As well as the singlespeed being generally more suited to the commutes of a week when I need to take the short way in I also briefly held in mind the fantastical notion that I might have enough time one lunchtime to either replace the right brake lever or the left-side bar tape, forgetting that getting any lunchtime at all is a struggle some days.
