It's fascinating watching the work being done under the Clifton Cliffs, and seeing the progress being made in slicing off the end of the cliffs, and building a massive berm to protect passing traffic. Someone was very inspired to create this project. All of the boulders needed to build the berm have come from inside the site.

More remediation! More progress. More hope.

I had a shakey moment or two this morning though, reading the articles in the paper about the 7.8 quake; how it ruptured, which faults were affected, and the outlook for the future. I managed fine during the quake itself, but found reading those articles unsettling. I guess this too will pass!
