Bleak

More rain and sleet this morning which left everything pretty wet looking.
In a respite from the winter showers we drove into Ilkley as we had very little food in.
It was so good to be out because after a few days indoors l was feeling stir crazy.
l suggested we come home on the Moor road so l could get a photograph.
Mr P, as obliging as ever did so but on the climb to the Cow and Calf rocks a sudden heavy, blizzard descended upon us.
There was no way l was getting out in that torrent, so we pulled into a wide lay-by that always offers a good view but visibility was nil.
So l wound down the window and took this, trying to capture the near horizontal sleet.
Turned it into a mono when l got home as there was such little colour to see in the first place.
Having our three Granddaughters to stay over tonight:
Chippy tea, apple pie and Strictly, can't wait!
