Back Blip for yesterday. This is the cake for the reunion. The only photo ever taken of our complete family. Dad and mum on either side partly chopped off. Taken over 50 years ago on a very simple brownie box I suspect. In the next coup;e of years my Father, brother bottom right and my sister top right all died. Even though this is a shocker of a photo it is a valuable one for the family archives. My sister was 33 and left 4 young children, my brother 27 and dad only 62 so that was a sad few years but we have always said if you have a large family you have double the joys and double the sorrows. This weekend was all JOY
What a day we had, over 80 relations gathered. One little seven year old said are these all my relations, I assured him they were, far too much for him to comprehend. Most of us had three generations there, they came from Australia and from the full length of NZ.
My flowers from yesterdays blip were duly presented and my sister received accolades for writing the family history. She broke down and wept. My niece ran a hilarious quiz on the family causing much laughter. If you have never had a family reunion set to and get one going, a ton of fun was had by all. It was fun and laughter all the way.
