living in a glass house

We went to West Kirby beach! again. It seems to be our "whatdowedotoday?" stock answer but it's a good 'un! We actually made it in time for the sea, too. Ash had a great time splashing and eating all sorts of things he shouldn't have. Cleo, again, was not a fan of the water and pretty much stayed away from it. As soon as we told her she was going to the beach this morning she said "my make sandcastle?" and that she did as well as more rock climbing! We saw some strange jumping, digging little bugs in the sand that looked like fleas. I always like it when the tide brings in strange and interesting creatures but we didn't see any more today.

Edited later- I've been researching and found out the little creatures actually are called sand fleas, and that they can bite, sting, or potentially burrow under skin to lay eggs! Ewwwww! Ash came home with a bit on his ankle and I guess I know where it's from now. This is what happens when you don't grow up near a beach. I am completely naive when it comes to stuff like this!
