Gone Girl

She was so excited to be home but the weekend is over and she has gone already.

Her journey home proved troublesome. It would appear all trains from Chippenham and Swindon have been cancelled this evening. We considered Andover but the first train is cancelled and a coach (to Wokingham) has been laid on.

In the end, we drove an hour and a quarter to Reading so Florence could get a train to Paddington. The plaster and plastic boot are cumbersome, give her an awkward gait and slow her down so I shall worry until I hear she has made it home.

But, a lovely weekend with lots of conversation and good food!
