Mist rolling off the hills near Rosemarkie. We had a lovely paddle tonight (i.e. sea kayaking trip). Sunny, warm, and near flat calm. A fair tide was running, which we used to our advantage on our return. Another group didn't, and took ages to get back. We were fully packed up before they appeared!
The dolphins were fooling about at Chanonry Point, and thrilling the spectators. We kept our distance, since they're a protected species, and it's illegal to disturb them. If they approach us, and they sometimes do, that's okay... we're not a protected species! They have come within about three feet of us in the past, when we've been out in a small group. They'll often follow alongside, as long as you keep moving. Those occasions are always really special (such as...).
