Surprised.

Saturday, so first job prepping the lodge for the next guests.  Unusually only booked in for the weekend.  True to her word the previous lady had left the Lodge in tiptop condition and we had little to do but change the beds and sweep the floors.

We were taking Katkatkat and G out for a meal in the evening so Clickychick suggested we continue a couple of miles and get some shots of the pub in daylight which we did.

In the evening we arrived and as we walked through the door the first people I saw were ArcaneSpark and her Husband who should have been in Sheffield, beside them were Kanyl and Mrs Kanyl.  My naughty daughters had arranged it as a surprise celebration for my 70th the other week.

This made the weekend booking much clearer they were staying in the Lodge (with CC's connivance) and had persuaded J an old school friend to leave her children with their Dad while she came to babysit my Grandchildren.

A really good evening followed with the pub putting us in a little private room where we could make as much noise as we wanted.  Many thanks to all concerned for a memorable evening.
