Tender Moment.....

We had a hard day trying to get to Donna Nook. We almost didn't make it and we certainly didn't make it back to Lincoln afterwards!

My other half's car displayed a warning light on the dashboard as we set off this morning, so we turned around and headed back to the bed and breakfast and called out the RAC. By lunchtime we were back out on the road, with the problem fixed. 

Once at Donna Nook, we spent the next couple of hours watching the seals and their pups. It was superb. We were freezing cold by the end the afternoon, in spite of several layers and thermals!

On our way back to Lincoln, deep in the midst of the Lincolnshire Wolds, we started to have further car problems. This led to a 2 hour wait for assistance and a further 2 hour wait for a low loader to take us back to North Staffordshire. It was the only option available to us, and we finally got home by 11.30pm. Phew!
