Silky Smooth

The sun is shining today and it's in the 40s.  All the snow is gone but what was left of flowers and trees is definitely finished.  My knee is much better so I went for a short walk.  I have tried to get this smooth water effect several times but this is my first success.  I am limited because I can't go smaller than f8 on my camera so I can't do a very long exposure.  Today I just decided to try again, even without a tripod.  I balanced the camera on the bridge rail and, in shutter priority, set it for 1 second.  It reset itself to 1/10 (f8) and I was still able to get this, so that made me happy!  Any tips are always appreciated.  :-)
