Autumn in the Liesbos

This was shot on our way home.  I'd never really looked at the Liesbos ('Lies Forest') before, which is strange as I've always known it was there.  It's smaller than the Mastbosch, so a bit cozier.  There's a popular restaurant nearby.  I asked hubby if he would like to stop for coffee, and he said, 'No.  It's rather expensive here.'  I will definitely return another time for a walk and a photo shoot.

The first extra is a road shot hubby took on our way to Breda to look at the outside of a second house we are considering for purchase.  I drove so hubby fired shot after shot at the trees lining the highway.

The second extra was taken outside the house, looking towards the neighbour on the right (if you're facing the road from the house, and on the left if you're on the road facing the house).  He has a tree nursery.

The third extra is a shot taken on our way to the house.  It's the outside of an old estate, now recycled and being used as the offices for a law firm ... or is it a building contractor?

We looked at the house from the outside.  It's very close to where hubby's good friend H lives, so if we live here, I can look forward to several bridge evenings a week.  If we choose this place.  The energy label is 'G', which is not good.  That means the insulation isn't good and that some rooms might have only single-glass windows.  We looked through the windows into the large living room, which was spacious, so that was nice.  The main bedroom is on the ground floor, which I would not have minded.  The backyard was not exactly inspiring.  It had an odd shape because it was right beside the ditch that separated it from the tree farm.  Added up, we decided that it didn't feel like we'd go for it, but hubby has set up an appointment anyway so that we can really go inside to check it out further.

In the meantime, on Monday, neighbour B's real estate agent will drop by our place to discuss the possible sale of our house.  I have morning appointments at work and will make sure to leave on time because I definitely want to hear first-hand what the agent has to say.  Exciting times ahead, busy times ahead.  Moreover, this will all be a good way to take my mind off all the horrific political upheavals going on elsewhere.
