Sunday: Eagles Nesting
H and J stayed over and just after 0900 we set off for Harrison Mills, about an hour and a half outside Vancouver. It has a historic site (shop, hotel and accommodation) as well as a cute little restaurant where we had lunch. After lunch, we set off on an hour's boat ride to go eagle spotting. It was amazing - this is where the bald-headed eagles nest at this time of year - we saw probably around 100.
Unfortunately this was also the day my DSLR decided to give up on its zoom facility so I decided to focus on looking instead. As regards this photo, I'll give you a clue - they are in the trees.
From there, we checked in at Harrison Hot Springs hotel - famous for its hot springs. We are now feeling most mellow and relaxed.
