Royal Commonwealth Pool

I've been going up and down this set of white slippy steps to the Commy Pool for my entire life. These steps, the changing area and the pool itself have never changed and it shows. Built in 1967, it was a classic 'modernistic' design which is now A-listed and was used in the 1970 and 1986 Commonwealth Games.

But it definitely needs a refurb. Thankfully those with the cheque books agree with this sentiment and the pool will close in June 2009 for almost 2 years to get brought into this century. I wonder if the steps will remain?
