On a wet and windy day, what else would one do (as a retiree), than practice the Pipes. Just like Captain Mainwaring on his honeymoon.
Next October we're off to Belgium to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Paschendael. My Grandad's brother, Harry, having survived the Somme, was killed there. I'm going to attempt some more bagpipes: Highland Cathedral or Flowers of the Forest. A work in progress, but plenty of time.
