Brief Respite

For about 15 minutes this afternoon the rain stopped and the sun made a game attempt to break through the clouds.

The rest of the day has seen incessant rain, a fair bit of which has found its way through our kitchen wall by the back door, leaving a growing damp patch.

Other than trying unsuccessfully to stem this tide, I've hardly ventured outside the door! spending a fair bit of time sorting out photos with next year's calendar in mind.

On the cold front, Tess, Kate & Joel have all been feeling worse today; Sophie, needless to say, went off to nursery her normal bright and breezy self.

Only noticed the dirty lens from Saturday night's Carnival rain after I downloaded this but it's the only photo I've taken all day so here you have it!
