Dolly the vampire

After last weeks practice on a rubber arm, I was deemed competent enough to be let loose on real patients today, and it went surprisingly well! I saw 13 patients, and out of those I was successful 11 times! There were two patients I struggled with and didn't manage, but I think with more experience I would have gotten them, so I'm not too annoyed about it! The patients were all very accommodating, and most were surprised that a trainee got it first time, a big compliment! Technically, I now have more than I need to submit my book to be signed off, but I think I'm going to get a bit more practice before I do!
