Even with the new décor, the far end of our dining room is still quite dark without artificial light: my entry for this week's MM challenge is a silver tray, loaded with drink related items and illuminated by a pair of very necessary side lamps.

2.  help to clarify or explain, shed light on

This month I outsourced the company payroll for the first time and the bureau has made some rather awful errors.  Tomorrow I sincerely hope that they can shed light upon exactly what has gone wrong and clarify how exactly they will put matters right...
