Sent out on a standard job, people with wineglasses, looking happy.
A fair drive away, dark night, arrive at venue. As I walk in, I see a man in shorts. Mmmm, a little unusual at a formal do, I think.
Then I recognise him (wow!), and later get a chance to chat with him, and then take this so so portrait (wishing I had done better).
Anyway, he's a lovely man, I'm made up to meet him, and delighted to have tickets for his festival next year. "See you then" he says. Hope so!
