Illuminate

Shed light upon my book
For I cannot see the words
Keep the darkness you took
Like a breeze to carry the birds

He who once brought sunshine
Now brings sadness and pain
Words that hurt will heal in time
Moments of madness and blame

A craving for solitude and calm
To breathe, to be, to meditate
A longing to remove from harm
Bring light to shine; to illuminate
