Liar

This departures board is a liar. The tain for Kings cross left twenty minutes late as one of the train crew (the guard) was late arriving. We were allowed through the barrier on to the platform and then kept waiting until after the scheduled departure time before we were allowed on to the train. It was rather cold on the platform!

The train never made up the time so we were still twenty minutes late at Kings Cross, so I missed my connecting train at Paddington. A wait of half an hour or so for another train, but I was lucky enough to get a seat as it was full rush hour by then. The trains heading furthet to the west of England were being cancelled due to the weather and flooding. Well at least I avoided that.
