Scariest day so far

We've been on a tour today, visiting beautiful temples, elephant cave temple and the holy spring temple. Both a sight to be experienced and amazing ( although we did get caught in a rain " shower"). We've also been to a viewing spot to see a picturesque lake but the cloud was down so no luck!
Had another stop off at a luwak coffee plantation ( where the coffee is made from the droppings of animals that eat the beans- fascination BUT it hasn't converted me to drinking it I must say). Visited the WC at the coffee plant and found this BEAST above the toilet.. truly terrifying.

We then moved onto beseikeh temple ( the largest in Bali,) and although again beautiful to look at, our guide warned us it was patrolled by the " mafia of tour guides" who would try to make us pay more to go in with them , our guide told us not to listen to them. He didn't warn us strongly enough as we were physically blocked from going in twice by these guides until we returned a 3rd time belligerent as we are ( having bought a ticket) pretending to not hear them at all and finally got in, having been threatened with the police, jail and the work of god, (although most of our tour group had given up by then and gone back to the car).

We then went into some rather beautiful rice terraces and another temple and palace.

Just because we weren't feeling quite worn out enough we went back into Ubud centre for some tea and a traditional Balinese fire dance. Spectacular indeed
