Victoria Gate

Thank you all so much for your best wishes yesterday.
I managed to sleep all night and felt considerably better this morning so went ahead with our planned trip to Leeds.
I still haven't eaten much and don't seem able to manage a whole drink of anything but despite the stomach rumbling I've not had a bad day.

We said we would visit John Lewis before Christmas and we were not disappointed with the store or the glitz of Victoria Gate itself seen here trimmed up for the coming season. I like the way you can go straight across from the Victoria Quarter arcades to the centre.

Unfortunately they didn't have the lampshades I wanted to look at in stock so will have to order on line but I got a better idea of size from some similar ones. We also treat ourselves to a new kettle which we saw in John Lewis in Bristol a couple of visits ago, so not a wasted trip.
