IMMA
After a late-ish rising we headed out for breakfast in Dublin, leaving it all a bit too casual actually, ending up rushing like mad things back to the hotel to check out! We had booked to see the Lucien Freud exhibition at the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA). It was well worth the visit, a selection of his very individual portraits and etchings of people and of dogs. Some of my favourite types :) I hadn't been in the grounds of IMMA since we'd been to see Leonard Cohen there in 2008.
That resonated with a moment at the Paul Simon concert last night (9,000 plus people, absolutely great, he had to do 4 encores!, I didn't bring a camera). A hat tumbled in the general mayhem, rolled halfway down the steps and rested there for quite a while before being reunited with its owner. I took a phone shot, fancying that Leonard had hung around a little longer to enjoy the music. Dublin 2
