Beyond the Fence

A fence across the picture is often viewed as a barrier, preventing the viewer from entering the space beyond and thus, possibly, spoiling the viewer's pleasure in the scene.

So what is beyond this fence?  I think I need to go and find out.  (Just a few yards along from this view is a vehicle entry and a pedestrian entry through the fence - not much of a barrier!)
