Purple Sage

The sage flowers were very popular with the bumblebees today. There were seven in this bush alone.

At last I planted my tomatoes this morning. It took hours because I had to make the bamboo stakes stable. Simply ramming them into the buckets wouldn’t do. A small tunnel house does not provide attaching places so I needed to use ropes and make rails of bamboo to hold the stakes firm. It looks a bit Heath Robinsonish, but I think it will do.
