Ypres Castle, Rye

Built for Henry lll in 1249 to keep French raiders at bay, and the beginning of Rye becoming a fortified town and one of the Cinq Ports. More interestingly, The Ypres Castle Inn, one of my favourite pubs in Rye, is just around the corner.
