A canalside walk

This afternoon I went for one of my favourite walks, along the canal at Ellesmere.

Near the bend of the canal in the photo is a figure. I saw him ahead of me on the towpath, a man dressed in camouflage gear. As I was on my own I was a bit wary of him as there was no-one else around. I hung back until he was out of sight then continued my walk. 

As I walked under the bridge, there he was. He was standing there with binoculars to his eyes - he was a birdwatcher! He was quite friendly and harmless (as far as I know).
