President's Gallery Queens' College, Cambs.
Cloister Court in Queens' College, includes a range of buildings on the lower western side that were built in 1460 and are now the oldest surviving buildings on the Banks of the River Cam. The Cloisters were built to link the river range with Old Court. In the 1590's when the President was allowed to marry and therefore needed more suitable accommodation, the President's Lodge was built on top of the north Cloister. The Lodge is the only substantial half timbered building remaining in Cambridge.
