Interpretation
1. Big event today which means being in work early and catching the commuter train. It's mobbed and lashing and ever so gloomy. Getting out of central reminds me of those scenes that open Saving Private Ryan. Storming the streets of Glasgow, I arrive droochit and crabbitt.
2. After a ropey start which involves me coming to mid presentation. This happens to me a lot. There's so much else to do that talking in front of a room of 30 folk (all taking bleeding notes) has slipped down the list of things to worry about. Mid way through I glance at my hand which is cut and wonder what the hell I am saying. This talk sounded so much better under my umbrella as I stormed the streets of Glasgow about an hour ago.
3. It all goes ok. It really does and I should listen to the compliments and thanks and take pride in having done this. Done anything to start to solve the problems and answer the questions. I should.
4. We stock up on sweeties and pints of West and get the best seats in the GFT for El Bulli, which is totally fantastic, I love it.
5. It becomes very apparent that too much West and a stressful day makes Marianne a very, very dull girl.
