Castle Babies

A pair of fluffy two week old Black Swan cygnets paid a visit to the marketing department today. Keeping everything crossed they and one other slightly smaller cygnet survive after being rejected by their mother who is pre-occupied with guarding her territory between two lakes.

Plan is the swan babies will be released to the castle waters in a few months' time. So lovely to see cygnets in the winter. Black swans seem to breed all year round at the Castle.
