Three Minutes of Sun

As usual, I was up and about really early. The pre-dawn sky looked promising for a pretty sunrise so I packed my gear up and headed down to the Potomac River. The sky was a gorgeous pink/orange as I parked the car. By the time I got down to the shoreline (about a 5 minute walk), the clouds started to quickly roll in.

We are supposed to get a good 24 hours of soaking rains which we desperately need. So I'm happy mother nature at least allowed me to get a couple of shots before the rains settle in.
