Rookie Mistake

Although after 1400 entries, I'm hardly a rookie.  I was riding home and caught a glimpse of a seal sitting under this old pier. Quickly got down there, grabbed my camera from my pack and managed 4 quick frames before it dived into the water and swam away. Looked at my images and found I had left it on manual last night with a wide aperture and they were all so far over-exposed there was no sign of a seal in them. You get the pier on it own instead and you have to imagine the seal floating away on her back waving at us....
