Stir Up Thursday?

I'm just a big kid where Christmas is concerned, so this afternoon has been devoted to baking the cake! Consequently, the house is full of festive smells, spirits, steeping fruits, roasted nuts, candied peel and much else. This year I am trying a new recipe which amongst other delicious things contains enough alcohol to float a battleship, very naughty but hey Christmas comes but once a year. The aroma is so wonderful that I was tempted to put up the tree but although we have got one Christmas Card already, even I think it is a little early. Seasons greetings to you all.
