Beans

Winter has come (it's SO cold!). We had beans at a friend's house for dinner tonight. That is a sure sign of the arrival of winter.

This friend was telling me about her sister who is in Mos in a liberated neighbourhood. Her sister told her that a suicide car bomb went off right outside their gate, shattering their windows and leaving I*S fingers, hands and feet in their front yard. Not a nice job to have to sweep away. My friend giggled so much about it; wartime humour I think.
