Mo's picture story

Must've been the coffee!

Spent 11 hours today driving south and back to collect the two older grandchildren, delivered to Blyth Services from Norfolk by their dad.

As we all cheered our way over the Border on the return leg (Yes, the butler and I do indeed boo as we pass the other sign on the way south; why grow up when you can be a big wean?), we drove towards a sunset courtesy of Turner at his very best: it was astonishing and continuously changing, a panorama of purples, pinks, orange, grey, blue, quite moving to see such glory.

And it seemed appropriate as well as inevitable that I had by this point stowed the camera in the boot with this witty blip, so that I couldn't be tempted to do a through the dirty windscreen snap on the motorway. Maybe that's poetic justice; and those skies are still imprinted on my visual memory.
