Foreground
I like foreground phone way better than background phone. However, foreground phone is loud enough that everyone in the Tarn knows when I have a call, whereas background phone has an irritating, but volume-adjustable ring. Also foreground phone is analogue so I can't use it to pay my internet bill which, apart from saying 'no thank you' to insulation sales folk, is all I really use it for.
Phones have been on my mind today. The Orange France saga has taken a further twist, with them now claiming it is SFR's fault. And so I begin the Sisyphean task of escalating my 'case' up the SFR mountain...
In other news, the brilliant internet taught me how to prune my grape vine for height, not fruiting; MrB has refused to be thwarted by striking pilots and has bought all of the tickets on all of the flights in Western Europe tomorrow for him and his team; and I managed to theme my dinner around pineapple for the second day in a row.
And apologies to everyone in the Delta lounge at JFK who had to endure a very long family FaceTime. (I blame the new Apple phones with no headphone socket.) However, I'm sure I said the word terrorist an entirely appropriate number of times, and I definitely think everyone was interested in finding out what Brooklyn 99 characters we would be.
