Mini-Blipmeet: Staithes, Yorkshire Coast
As he knows I'm pondering a defection from the Canon stable to the Olympus one, and since we were in his locality on our holiday, blipper Riversider very kindly arranged for my Editor & me to join him for a mini-blipmeet so that I could have a look at, and try out, his Olympus cameras, in particular the EM5 MkII.
We had a lovely few hours together in Staithes, a pretty seaside village a few miles north of Whitby. The weather was overcast but dry. We took lots of photos but one of my favourites is this photo of one of the many quaint old lanes in the village.
The first extra is Riversider himself in action. Seemingly his camera club is holding a competition for photos of knobs and knockers and it was clear that he knows a good set of knockers when he sees them...! ;-))
The second extra is a photo taken from very near our apartment this evening; the authorities had very kindly turned on the floodlights on the Abbey tonight.
