HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

We've had an exploding pomegranate.
We had a massaged kale salad with roasted butternut squash..
We had an corn pudding/bread and a broccoli salad.
We had Brussels sprouts with maple  syrup and walnuts.
We had stuffing made out of the rolls that were supposed to be light and fluffy and weren't....
We had ham and barbecued turkey.
We had an enormous pot of mashed potatoes 
We forgot the cranberry sauce but nobody missed it. 
Everything was deemed the best Thanksgiving dinner ever....
A few overheard scraps of conversation:
"Where's Owen?"
"Oh he's outside ponding stuff with a hammer."
Amy read off a list of things not to ask a returning college student..." How's college?...Do you have a girlfriend? "  Dana said , "why don't they have a list of things you should ask them?" Jim responded , "Would you like some money...?"

We had to rearrange the living room to make room for two tables for fourteen people. We had people cooking all sorts of things at once. Owen was running around with a nerf ball gun. He got me to shoot him but he only gave me three balls. I was a goner because he had ten..

We managed to get outside before the light faded for our traditional family picture. I love them for being so cooperative about this...I treasure my Thanksgiving family photo....
