Sunday cycle

Last day of the holidays and we went for a cycle along the Formartine and Buchan Way. This is a cycle/walk/riding path along the disused railway lines from Dyce to Fraserburgh and Peterhead.

This used to be a regular trip for us but as our kids got older they weren't so interested. It's still a great area; passing by Aden park, Old Deer abbey and you can cycle to Fraserburgh or Peterhead if the mood takes you.

I liked the rusty girders of this bridge over a small burn near Old Deer, vivid colours of rust and tiny lichens. The cross pattern of rivets seemed appropriate for our Sunday cycle.
