Just before noon

The clouds were in serried rows across the sky letting bands of sunshine race across the valley.
This is one of my favourite natural lighting effects, you just have to be patient for the light to fall upon your favourite part of the scene, and it helps too not to be shivering so hard from the piercing cold wind up here on Blakey Ridge that the shot isn't ruined by camera shake!
But I hope you agree it's worth it!
Note that the sheep have all been brought down off the High Moor, which means that the farmers are expecting snow shortly
This is of course just a little fragment of Farndale
