Chaffinch

A brighter day and some more birds visiting the garden feeders.

This Male Chaffinch is my bird of the day - why ?

It stayed still in good light for a while and showed the green feathers on its back between the folded wings - an unusual view.

Other birds that visited included Great Spotted Woodpecker and Nuthatch ( as  extra photos)

I did some work with sealant and a brush on waterproof solution on the edge of the flat roof in the hope of improving things ( fingers crossed next time the heavens open the water stays outside)
