A single moment in time

My friend's one year old stayed over last night while they went to see a show at the festival. Andy was also staying over in Edinburgh after a day out with the boys, so it was just me and three boys this morning.

I normally go for a run on a Sunday morning but that wasn't possible today. Around 99% of my runs are done early morning on an empty stomach which I have always preferred. I feel lighter and I move into fat burning much quicker, rather than burning carbs first. I couldn't go until late afternoon today, so I had some porridge an hour before. I was a little apprehensive about how my tummy would feel but it was great! What an amazing boost, and I felt strong running up some very steep hills at Halmyre despite the mugginess. Now, I just have to work out how I can get up at 4am to eat some porridge before my morning runs - yawn!!
