Ice on Loch Fyne

Cathleen, Marie Claire and I drove to Oban this morning where I was opening an extension to an early years nursery and then meeting Cllr Julie MacKenzie and some constituents.

As the early cloud cleared the end of autumn colours were revealed in all their magnificence, contrasted with patches of ice and snow on the hill tops.

There was also ice on the water at the upper reaches of Loch Fyne where the fresh water freezes when there are a few  nights of  below zero temperatures  as there have been in the past week.
