Another Dogwalking Day
Down to the Wharfe in Burley this morning, making the most of the warmth in the sun.
At the other end of the old village there is a street called Iron Row, and it leads down to a cluster of old mills - perhaps one of them produced these very substantial railings. I suppose they are there to prevent wayfarers from stumbling into the weir. The river was flowing fast today.
A little further on there are some stepping stones, and the girls tried the first one or two before deciding that wasn't a good idea. Raf, naturally, plunged in for a swim.
We're nearly half-way through our time in charge here - no mutinies yet, or wails of "When Are Mummy and Daddy Coming Back?" Fingers crossed.
