"Who Said That?!"

We were over at the inlet earlier and you could barely see this blue heron fishing down among the reeds. 
Someone next to me (certainly not Mrs. ATB) loudly announced... "That bird couldn't catch a cold."
Suddenly the heron popped his head up and glared around trying to find who was responsible for making the offending remark. 
I remained neutral and quiet.
