Snow peas for dinner

9 days at the lake and my poor snow peas were looking a little thirsty back in Hamilton. They're growing in a large self-watering tub which had run dry, but a quick rescue with the hose should have done the trick. I bolted a quick lunch and raced out to the lawnmower and managed to get 3/4 of the 2 acres done before the heavens opened and gave us a (sort of ) welcome deluge. Lots of wind and small branches down on the lawn all over the place. Back to Lake Tarawera tomorrow and fence painting.
